If you had the space and support you needed
to find the many pieces of yourself,
to connect with others who share the same desire,
and to have conversations
where you feel seen and known,
where you can be yourself and belong,
how could you flourish?
and what impact would that have on those around you?
Sparks can fly when multilingual mothers meet.
There’s an instant recognition of common ground
even when we have different stories.
We don’t need to have the same languages
or be in the same stage of motherhood,
though having those in common and being in it together
is special and allows for a profound sense of belonging.
But even with different languages,
we can identify with each other when
we share our experiences and ideas,
challenges and successes,
emotions and desires…
and this can be life-giving!
If we take down the walls we often put up
and just take the first steps to introduce
(or re-introduce) ourselves,
there is the potential for a connection on a deep level.
We can find moments to then reach out to each other,
reasons to say we are thinking of each other.
By keeping things simple and letting go of expectations
we can help each other with ever-present
decision fatigue and guilt.
We can find joy in motherhood and life!
We can celebrate who we are!
It’s about planting those seeds as we go.
If we know how to water and nurture those seeds,
whether that’s storing them until
we have the time and energy to do more,
or we are ready for them to grow and blossom,
this can be transformative…
for ourselves, for our families,
for our communities and for the world!
What a grand vision!
But what does this actually look like in practice?
Come talk with me and find out!
